Rocket.Chat 4.4.0 brings more improvements and new features for better admin and user experience. Let's see what's new with the latest Rocket.Chat edition. 🚀

Please visit the official release notes for the whole list of improvements and bug fixes.

Team Collaboration

Simplified setup wizard

We simplified the "setting up a new workspace" flow to make it more intuitive and ensure a smoother experience for first-time admin users. There are no required fields anymore, and the number of steps is reduced. Learn more.

Omnichannel

Channel icons visibility for all entry points

The ability to effortlessly identify the origin of each conversation is a key element for agent productivity while handling omnichannel operations. Channel visibility in the UI will help agents manage their queues more efficiently, improve response and resolution time and increase customer satisfaction.

Ability to set Business Units on Live Chat widget for Enterprise users

The Business Units feature enables organizations to create hierarchical structures for Omnichannel departments. Therefore, the business unit is the highest level in the structure, and several departments belong to one business unit by design.

We extended this functionality to the Live Chat channel, allowing organizations to use a single workspace to enable Live Chat on multiple websites and Web Apps and have visibility of departments per Live Chat widget via Business Units. Learn more here.

Marketplace

Custom Status enabled for apps

Now apps ( for example calendar and time management apps) can access the Custom Status feature and automatically display user status based on what they are doing/have scheduled at a certain time.

Cloud Services Portal

Self-serve resubscribe option for workspaces

We are introducing a new resubscribe option for the workspaces. If you canceled your subscription or faced any payment issue and would like to resubscribe, you can do it in self-serve mode following a few steps.
